THE RULES

Terms of use

These terms apply when you use the Quid Pro app and this website. Creating an account or signing in means you agree to them.

Community rules

Quid Pro has zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive members. Listings, profiles, messages, and reviews must not include:

  • Harassment, threats, bullying, or hate aimed at anyone
  • Sexual or violent content
  • Scams, fake listings, or requests for payment outside a trade
  • Anything illegal to offer, buy, or do where you or the other member live
  • Spam, or another person’s private details posted without their consent

Reporting and blocking

Report a listing, profile, message, or review from the menu on that screen in the app. Block a member from the same menu. Blocking hides you from each other straight away: neither of you sees the other’s listings, profile, or messages, and neither can start a trade. We are told about every block.

We review every report within 24 hours. When content breaks these terms we remove it and suspend the member who posted it. A suspended member is signed out and cannot sign in again.

Your account

Give accurate information when you sign up, keep your password private, and use one account. You are responsible for what happens under your account. You can delete your account at any time in the app, under Profile, then Delete account.

Credits

Credits record the value of work exchanged between members. They are not money. They have no cash value and cannot be bought, sold, or exchanged for cash. A balance can go a limited amount below zero so new members can trade before they have delivered anything. We may correct a balance that is wrong, for example after a fault in the app or when credits were gained by breaking these terms. If the work in a trade was not done as agreed, we may refund some or all of the credits it moved, at our discretion. Every correction and refund appears in your ledger with the reason we give, and it can take a balance below the usual limit. Credits end when the account that holds them is deleted or suspended.

Trades between members

A trade is an agreement between the members who make it. Quid Pro is not a party to it and does not check, supervise, or guarantee the work, its quality, or its safety. Agree on what will be done before accepting a trade, and use your judgment when meeting someone in person. If a trade goes wrong, contact us with its reference. We may refund the credits it moved, as described under Credits.

Your content

You keep ownership of what you post. You allow Quid Pro to store, display, and process it so the service can work: showing your listings in search, delivering your messages, and keeping trade records. Post only content you have the right to share.

Ending your account

You can stop using Quid Pro and delete your account whenever you want. The privacy policy explains what deletion erases and what is kept. We may suspend or remove an account that breaks these terms or puts other members at risk.

The service

Quid Pro is provided as it is. Features may change, and the service may sometimes be unavailable. To the extent the law allows, Quid Pro is not liable for losses that come from trades between members or from using the service.

Changes and contact

When these terms change in a meaningful way, the app asks you to agree again before you continue. For questions, contact the Quid Pro team.
